Greetings, members and friends of GSSHWWDB.org
To view online pedigrees with pictures log into your gsshwwdb.org account (or create an account now) use the PedPoint module link located in the left toolbar.
The Stud Dog Directory is a place for listing dogs available for stud. The Calander section is a great place to list upcoming events.
If you have a special article to submit, please use the 'Submit News' link to the left, articles printed below.
The GSSH/GSMD database currently lists over 20,500 dogs, there are 1,500 unique photos attached to the pedigrees, several pedigrees contain a full three generations of pictures!
If your dog or litter is missing click the download link above download a litter submission form and email it to usadata@no-spam-gsshwwdb.org (remove no-spam-)
Use the form for litters or just your single dog missing from the database. Send pictures of your dog for inclusion to the same email address or include them in the new dog folder in the Gallery section.
Updates are happening monthly now and your information will be included online ASAP.
When searching pedigrees and displaying reports, please note the breeding display for the male dogs has an error in the code and does not display his off spring, female breeding result is fully functioning.
Special Thanks to Argo for her Gallery Photo used above! Check out the Gallery for our users very own unique web albums... start yours today!

| Trekking with the Zughundegruppe |
|
doubleB writes "Andrea Writes: Dr. Ingrid Zeeh owns a son of our Bodo and when we met the first time in Berlin last year on the occasion of our annual GSS meeting - at that time, Falco was 11 months old and already a handsome young man - she told me about her plans to join the 'Zughundegruppe' (cart pulling) in Berlin. One year and many teaching lessons later, Ingrid returned from a one week trekking tour with her group and I have asked her to tell us about her adventures during this week.

| Are Swissys Ready for Agility? Or Is Agility Ready for Swissys? |
|
 Glenda Parks, Baton Rouge, LA
4/3/2006
A few years ago I signed Bonnie Doon up for an Agility Class at our local
Training Club. The first night of class, the instructors looked askance at me,
placing me near the end of the line. I thought I was being placed there because
my dog was large. But in fact, I was being placed there because they had the
preconceived notion that Greater 'Burmese' Mountain Dogs were incapable of
performing the activities necessary to compete in agility!

| Looking back is one way of going forwards |
|
ibbe22 writes "When I first came across this database I
became so inspired and spent hours looking out for old dogs. Many breeders and
dog owners are looking into the future but for me it was a nostalgic trip back.
When I first lay my eyes on a swissy for 30 years ago, I was hooked. It was not
only to have a dog, it became a bit of obsession, and I could not get enough of
collecting everything about this very special breed.
